Interior minister demands stricter transport security in Kabardino-Balkaria
Read on the website Vestnik KavkazaRussian Interior Minister Rashid Nurgaliyev demanded that police in Kabardino-Balkaria take harsher security measures at transport and social facilities to prevent terrorist attacks, RIA Novosti reports.
The demand for more security was inspired by the terrorist attack at Moscow's Domodedovo Airport on January 24, when a suicide-bomber killed 37 and injured over 120 people. The bomb was equivalent to 7 kg of TNT.
The need for more security was exposed on February 4, when a gang killed 3 police officers in an attempt to release a gang member. There were 4 arson attacks on culture facilities, the minister said.
