Maradona to take part in Grozny match

The stadium in Grozny named after the First Chechen President Ahamad Hajji Kadyrov has almost been filled. It is capable of holding 30,000 spectators.

The Terek football team entered to greet the fans.

The World Star Team and the "Caucasus" national team will play. Alexander Khloponin, Russian Vice-Premier and Plenipotentiary Presidential Representative tothe North Caucasian Federal District, is the captain of the "Caucasus". Rinat Dasayev, Dmitry Alenichev, Nikolai Pisarev are part of the team.

The "Caucasus will play against a team beleved to include Diego Maradona, Alain Boghossia, Franco Baresi, Luís Figo, Manuel Amoros, Roberto Ayala, Robbie Fowler, Enzo Francescoli, Steve McManaman, Jean-Pierre Papin, Christian Vieri, Ivan Zamorano, Fabien Barthez and other world football stars.

Russia-1, Russia-2 and "Grozny" TV channels will broadcast the game.

Over 220 Russian and foreign correspondents arrived for the event.
