Medvedev comments on Putin's people's front

Russian President Dmitry Medvedev has commented on Prime Minister Vladimir Putin's idea to establish a people's front on the basis of United Russia political party, RIA Novosti reports.

Incumbent prime minister and former president of Russia Vladimir Putin called for the creation of the All-Russia People's Front at a conference of the ruling United Russia political party on Friday

 According to Medvedev, though the establishment of a people's front is legal, no political force should assume the dominant role in the political life of the country. Other parties should react, the president said.
