McGregor's deleted tweets hint at plans for Nurmagomedov rematch
Read on the website Vestnik KavkazaIrish fighter Conor McGregor appeared to hint he will pressure Khabib Nurmagomedov into a rematch.
And he plans to do so with the help of UFC president Dana White and his arch rival's manager Ali Abdelaziz.
McGregor tweeted: "MeDanaAliGonnaGetcha" - then deleted his tweets.
It comes as White revealed he will meet Nurmagomedov on the week of McGregor's return to the octagon.
The Irishman rematches Dustin Poirier - who he beat in 2014 - in Abu Dhabi on January 23. Nurmagomedov will join McGregor in the Middle East, with his training partner Omari Akhmedov also featuring on Fight Island. And there, UFC boss White will attempt to talk Khabib out of retirement.
McGregor's tweet looks to also be a hint that they will try and force through a rematch between the pair, The Sun reported.
The Irishman has been desperate for a shot at redemption against his bitter enemy ever since he lost their grudge match in 2018. But with Nurmagomedov having hung up his gloves in October, McGregor's chance appears bleak.
