Azerbaijan expects compensation from companies that illegally exploited its gold and other deposits

Azerbaijan is ready to sue companies that illegally exploited its gold and other deposits if they do not pay compensation, President Ilham Aliyev said during a meeting on the results of 2020.

“Of course, the illegal exploitation of the natural resources available there is already an irrefutable fact. We have company names. If these companies, which illegally exploited our gold and other deposits, do not pay compensation, the cases will be directed to courts,” Trend quotes the head of state as saying.
