Zoo opens in Ingushetia
Read on the website Vestnik KavkazaThe first zoo in Ingushetia has opened in Nazran, ITAR-TASS reports.
Stavropol, North Ossetia and Kabardino-Balkaria helped provide animals. The Ingush Ministry of Labor and Social Development says that the zoo has swans, pheasants, guinea fowls, falcons, wild geese and ducks, ponies, a camel, a roe, wild ox, a racoon, a badger, and yaks. Lions and tigers will arrive in the near future.
The zoo will be free of charge for children from low-income families and homes.
