Khabib Nurmagomedov fears to fight with me, McGregor says

Conor McGregor, a former UFC featherweight and lightweight champion, assessed the likelihood of a rematch with current lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov.

In his opinion, the Russian athlete is afraid to fight him. "That's for sure, and I don't blame him for that. That night I fought with the best Khabib, and the worst I opposed him," ESPN MMA quotes the Irish fighter as saying.

Khabib Nurmagomedov defeated Conor McGregor in a fight that took place in October 2018. In June 2020, McGregor announced his retirement, but later it became known that the Irishman was preparing to resume the career. His next rival is Dustin Poirier.
