Extreme skier dies in Elbrus region

A skier from the Moscow region killed in an avalanche on Mount Cheget in the Elbrus region, the press service of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergencies of the Russian Federation for Kabardino-Balkaria reports.

According to the reports, he was climbing in the forbidden zone.

"An extreme skier from the Moscow region went off the marked route into the forbidden zone and provoked an avalanche," the ministry reports.
