Krasnodar Territory to introduce real estate tax next year

Some Russian regions, including the Krasnodar Territory, will introduce real estate taxes in 2012, the Ministry of Economic Development said, Rossiyskaya Gazeta reports.


A common tax for land and property will be adopted in 12 regions. The real estate tax will consist of two payments – for land and buildings.


The tax experiment will be launched in regions that conclude land surveys. This concerns 12 regions. It will then be introduced to other regions.


The Krasnodar and Krasnoyarsk Territories and the Bashkiria, Tatarstan, Rostov, Irkutsk, Kaliningrad, Kaluzhskaya, Kemerovo, Nizhny Novgorod, Samara and Tver Regions will be the first to introduce the real estate tax.
