About 400,000 Moscow residents vaccinated against COVID-19

About 400,000 people have been vaccinated against COVID-19 in Moscow, Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin said in an interview with the Rossiya-24 TV channel on Thursday, TASS reports.

"Firstly, I must say that we don’t have the goal to vaccinate the entire population of the capital. Because we see that the majority of citizens have had this disease, the majority of them had a light case. On the whole, about 500,000 Moscow residents have signed up for vaccination, and 400,000 of them have already received the first shot," Sobyanin said.

He added that the vaccine is safe for the senior population as well. "Not just dozens, but hundreds of thousands of seniors have gotten the vaccine already. And I must say that seniors endure the vaccine must easier than young people," Sobyanin noted.
