Iran warns U.S. scout plane

Iran warned off a U.S. scout plane during the Velayat 89 military exercises, Commander of the Iranian Army Major General Ataollah Salehi said, reports Trend.
According to him, the U.S. plane approaching the area where the drills were being held and left after a warning from Iran's Air Defense.
The third phase of the Velayat 89 exercises started on Saturday in the Persian Gulf, the Sea of Oman and the northern Indian Ocean. The naval exercise started last Wednesday just after the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps had completed major war games in the Persian Gulf, the Sea of Oman and also in the key oil route of the Strait of Hormuz.
