Former Kazakh Minister of Education heads university in Almaty

A new rector was appointed at the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University in Almaty. According to the press-service of the ministry, the university is now headed by the former Minister of Education and Science of the country, Zhanseit Tuimebayev.

"Having considered the candidates for the post of rector - Zhanseit Tuimebayev and ex-rector of the Almaty Eurasian Technological University Zhanar Temirbekova - the republican commission chaired by Deputy Prime Minister Yeraly Tugzhanov conducted an interview with the candidates and chose Zhanseit Tuimebayev," the report reads, Sputnik-Kazakhstan informs.
