Tbilisi opens Parliamentary Forum for Democratic Society
Read on the website Vestnik KavkazaTbilisi is hosting the Parliament Forum for a Democratic Society, which will last until May 20, News Georgia reports.
The forum will see guests of various ranks, including parliamentary officials from various states, delegations from the US Congress and the European Parliament. President of the European Parliament Jerzy Buzek will attend the forum.
The Democratic Community Forum was established in 2000, initiated by former US Secretary of State Madeleine Albright, as a platform for discussion of the human rights, civil freedom, democratic values. A similar forum was held in Krakow in mid-2010.
