Hikmet Hajiyev shows liberated Shahbulag fortress to media (PHOTOS)

Today, on behalf of the President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, a press tour was held for the heads of media and NGOs, bloggers and public activists to the liberated Aghdam region. Accompanied by the presidential aide, head of the foreign policy department of the presidential administration, Hikmet Hajiyev, the participants of the press tour visited the Shahbulag fortress.

The experts on the site explained that Shahbulag is an 18th-century fortress and one of the most famous historical monuments of Karabakh. Panah Ali Khan, the founder of the Karabakh Khanate, built it in the middle of the century as the administrative centre of the khanate.
