Ten families stuck in Georgia due to weather conditions
Read on the website Vestnik KavkazaGeorgian rescuers have been fighting the disaster in the Racha-Lechkhumi region on the West of Georgia for five days, trying to unblock the road connecting the two villages of Lailashi and Gu.
It is reported that the landslide mass descended on the Lailashi-Gu highway on March 23. Due to the disaster, ten families were cut off from the outside world, it is possible to get to them only by foot.
According to the governor of the region, Papun Margvelidze, the work on the construction of the bypass road will not be started until the weather improves. Earlier it was reported that the landslides were caused by prolonged rains.
