Policeman killed in Khasavyurt

A police officer was killed today in Khasavyurt, RIA Novosti cites the spokesman of the North Caucasian Federal District investigation commmittee, Alkhas Amirkhanov.

"The incident occured at 8 o'clock in the morning. A police officer, the head of the youth crimes department, was killed. The policeman was shot as he left home. The officer tried to defend himself, but eventually died of his wounds," the source said.
