US ambassador summoned to Russian Foreign Ministry over new US sanctions

US Ambassador to Russia John Sullivan has been summoned to the Russian Foreign Ministry in the wake of Washington’s new sanctions against Moscow, Russian Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova told reporters at a press briefing on Thursday, TASS reports.

"I think that right now, the US ambassador to Russia is at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of our country. I wouldn’t have said this before, but now I can say this: this won’t be a pleasant meeting for him," Zakharova noted.
