Georgian police detain man for drug possession, seize drugs, illegal firearms, ammunition

Georgian police have detained one individual with a previous conviction for the illegal purchase and possession of drugs in especially large quantities, illegal possession of firearms and ammunition in the Adjara region.

During a search of the vehicle and apartment owned V.E., police officers seized 535 pills containing buprenorphine, four syringes containing buprenorphine and methadone, COMBAT-PPI and ZORAKI M906 pistols, a hand grenade, a grenade launcher, 82 magazines and a large amount of money.

The crime is punishable by eight to 20 years in prison, Agenda.ge reported.
