Vegetable oil to become cheaper in Uzbekistan

Uzbek MP Rasul Kusherbayev said today that from May 1, the import of vegetable oil will be exempted from VAT in Uzbekistan, while the export of vegetable oil will be limited.

According to Kusherbayev, these measures are aimed at combating the rise in prices for the most important products. Also, imports of sunflower seeds, flax and soybeans, turnover for the production and sale of vegetable oil will be also exempted from VAT.

According to Sputnik-Uzbekistan, Uzbek entrepreneurs will be prohibited from selling abroad more than 50% of sunflower oil and vegetable fats produced from imported seeds.
