Burjanadze says Okruashvili has no courage

Irakly Okruashvili lacked the courage to admit his fear of arriving in
Georgia, Nino Burjanadze, ex-speaker of the Georgian parliament and a
leader of the People’s Assembly, told a briefing at the Tbilisi
press-center of RIA Novosti today.

Burjanadze said that she initially had differences in view on the
switch of power in the country with the Georgian Party.

Two opposition unions, the Georgian Party and People’s Assembly,
planned protests at the military parade of the Independence Day on May
25. The protests were called the Day of Wrath. Former Georgian Defense
Minister Irakly Okruashvili, who currently lives in Paris as a
refugee, promised to arrive for the event.

Talks with the People’s Assembly, which had also planned protests for
May 25, failed. The People’s Assembly has been gathering people at the
Public Television building.
