Another low-cost airline to be created in Russia

S7 Airlines plans to create a low-cost airline, Vedomosti informs with a reference to three sources in the aviation industry.

An S7 representative also confirmed this information. "At present, the S7 Group is negotiating with Airbus and Boeing on aircraft leasing," a representative of the airline said. He specified that the low-cost airline project will be launched “only in case of high business efficiency of the new airline,” and the feasibility of launching the low-cost airline is being assessed.

The carrier S7 Airlines itself does not plan to switch to the low-cost segment.
