Azerbaijan to join Nonaligned Movement

Joining of Azerbaijan to the Nonaligned Movement will contribute to more effective cooperation with countries-members of the organization in various spheres, the foreign minister of Azerbaijan Elmar Mamedyarov stated today, Trend reports.

According to the minister, Azerbaijan proved to be a reliable partner and state which plays a significant role in the Caspian-Caucasus region as a strong stable country.

This year the Nonaligned Movement celebrates its 50th anniversary. Azerbaijan appreciates dynamic development of the Movement. Mamedyarov believes that in next 50 years the Nonaligned Movement will be strong and powerful.
