Abkhaz rescuers stop searching for Russian tourist

After ten days of the search operation, the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Abkhazia stopped searching for a Russian tourist from Yekaterinburg, Vladimir Ulyanov, who got lost in the upper reaches of the Gumista River, the press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations informed on Facebook.

"The search and rescue operation in the upper reaches of the Gumista River is over. Rescuers of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Abkhazia, together with instructor Anna Gileva, reached the place where the tourist Vladimir Ulyanov was supposed to be at the Khimsa pass, and then checked the return route from the highland zone to the coast. The search operation, which was conducted since May 12, did not bring any results," the message reads, TASS reports.
