Mariam Kvrivishvili appointed Georgia's Deputy Minister of Economy
Read on the website Vestnik KavkazaMember of the Parliament of Georgia, First Deputy Chairman of the Committee on European Integration and former Head of the National Tourism Administration, Mariam Kvrivishvili, has been appointed Deputy Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia, according to the country's Ministry of Economy.
Kvrivishvili will be in charge of tourism, aviation and resort development at the ministry, Agenda.ge reported.
Prior to her appointment as Deputy Minister of Economy, Kvrivishvili's activities were related to the EU-Georgia Parliamentary Association Committee, the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) and the Euronest Parliamentary Assembly (EURONEST PA).
She has been the Chairperson of the Open Governance Permanent Parliamentary Council since January 21, 2021.
In 2019-2020 Kvrivishvili was the head of the National Tourism Administration, while earlier in 2012-2014 she held the position of deputy head at the same administration.
