The Russian economy is recovering quicker than the government had expected, Deputy Finance Minister Vladimir Kolychev said on Tuesday.

The Russian economy shrank 3% in 2020 amid a drop in oil prices and the COVID-19 pandemic. It is expected to reach the pre-pandemic level before the year-end, according to the central bank's forecast, Interfax news agency reported.
