Madrasah lecturer shot dead in Dagestan

A lecturer at a madrasah in the Kizlyarsky District of Russia’s North Caucasus republic of Dagestan has been shot dead in his home, the Interfax news agency said, citing law enforcement sources.

“The circumstances of the crime are being ascertained,” the source said. “Investigators have found two bullets and two 7.62 millimeter shells at the scene.”

A criminal case has been opened.
