The head of Kabardino-Balkaria, Arsen Kanokov, has joint the Internet community by launching his video blog. The first video he shared on the Internet was devoted to the most acute problem of the North Caucasus, terrorism.

Kanokov said that local and federal authorities have called upon the militants to surrender several times. He said officials were taking all possible measures to prevent the rise of terrorism, they had threatened and admonished. According to Kanokov, he is doing his best to save the lives of his people.

The head of the republic paid special attention to religious issues. He said that many people believe that only those who don’t understand the Islamic faith properly can become terrorists. At the same time, Kanokov thinks that the secular way of fighting terrorism is also effective and local officials should take all necessary measures, as President Medvedev advised.

Generally speaking, the fact that Kanokov decided to launch a video blog was appreciated by Caucasian users. The head of the republic doesn’t say anything new, but the way he said it was remarkable.
