Acting oil minister appointed in Iran

Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has appointed the former head of Iran's Physical Education Organization, Mohammad Ali-Abadi, as the acting Minister for Oil, Iranian news agency Press TV reports.


"Considering your commitment, knowledge and useful executive experience, and in accordance with Article 135 of the Constitution of the Islamic Republic of Iran, and based on this decree, you are appointed as acting Oil Minister," the presidential order issued on Thursday addresses Ali-Abadi.
