The Georgian Ministry of the Economy and Sustainable Development has
sold state property worth 45.548 million laris, despite the initial
plan for 150 million, Business Georgia reports.

The ministry sold property worth 32.118 million laris and $8.139
million in five months.

Major facilities, such as hospitals and the building of the Georgian
Statistics Service, have been sold. Privatization income mainly comes
from agriculture.

Experts believe that the privatization plan will not be fulfilled, due
to lack of political stability and investment-attractiveness. The
ministry may sell the parliament building, experts believe.

Greek and Arab investors have already visited the parliament building.
A Georgian billionaire expressed interest in the building.
