Turkish president signs law on constitutional amendments

According to a declaration made by the presidential press-center,
Turkish President Abdullah Gul has sent law number 5982 to the Turkish
Premier for introduction and to put it to a referendum, according to
the 4th point of article 175 of the Constitution, TRT reports.


The package of constitutional amendments, each receiving from 330 to
367 votes of MPs in the Grand Assembly, will be published in the
Official Newspaper and then put to a referendum. The 175th article
observes the putting of constitutional amendments to universal
plebiscite.
