"Olympic" gas pipeline launched in Sochi

Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin today attended the ceremony of
launching the Dzhubga - Lazarevskoye - Sochi pipeline, built under the

governmental program for the construction of Olympic facilities and

the development of Sochi as a mountain resort.



"Starting the Dzhubga - Lazarevskoye - Sochi pipeline will provide gas
for 250 thousand inhabitants of the region and remove energy limits
for construction of new facilities,” Vladimir Putin said at the
opening ceremony, RIA Novosti reports.


"Around 250 thousand people, a quarter of a million, are able to

access gas in their homes in Tuapse, and Lazarev, and Greater Sochi"
the prime minister said.
