Head of Theology Institute and his nephew killed in Makhachkala

In Makhachkala the head of the Theology and International Affairs Institute, Maksud Sadikov, and his nephew, Zalikhman Musayev, were killed yesterday, RIA Novosti reports.

A criminal case was initiated for murder and arms trafficking. The maximum punishment for violating these articles of the Criminal Code is a life sentence.

According to preliminary data there were two criminals involved in the killings.

Maksud Sadikov was one of the initiators of establishing the Theology and International Affairs Institute, which is the first university in the North Caucasus at which students get both a civil and religious education. Since 2003 Sadikov had been the head of the institute.
