Dagestani leader calls Sadikov's murder challenge to society

Dagestani leader Magomedsalam Magomedov held an operative council on
the murder of the head of North Caucasus Theological Institute, Maksud
Sadikov, Yuga.ru reports.


Vestnik Kavkaza reported that Sadikov and his brother Zalimhan Musayev
were killed in Makhachkala on June 7. They were shot from automatic
weapons at their house.


The police believe that they were shot because of their professional
activities. Magomedov called it a challenge to society.


Sadikov is a well-known religious and public figure, the Dagestani leader noted.


The republic's Interior Minister Abdurashid Magomedov, head of the
local investigation Alexander Savrulin and Dagestani Prosecutor Andrey
Nazarov talked about the measures being taken in the republic at the
council.
