Azerbaijan will have no age restrictions for higher education teachers

The Azerbaijani Parliament has passed amendments to the Labour Code.
There will be no age restrictions for scientists and teachers of
higher education centers, Trend reports.

Azerbaijan introduced amendments to the law on state officials,
setting a maximum age of 65. Their employment may be prolonged by a
maximum of 5 years.

A member of the committee for social policy, Khikmyat Atayev, proposed
lifting age restrictions for doctors. He explained that they need 11
years of studies and 5 years of practice.

Employees that worked for 25 years at science or education centers
will receive additional pensions. 200 and 120 manats will be provided
for PhDs.
