Over 25 Interior Ministry officers died in North Caucasus this year - Nurgaliyev

Since the beginning of this year, 26 officers of the Interior Ministry
have died in the North Caucasus, Russian Interior Minister Rashid
Nurgaliyev said in Pyatigorsk, ITAR-TASS reports.

"Within this small period - from the beginning of the year - we have
already lost 26 of our officers," the minister said, adding that "our
colleagues have been working in this tense regime for a long time".

Nurgaliyev also thanked local Interior Ministry staff for providing
security in the North Caucasus Federal District during Victory Day.
