Russia doubles its electricity export

At the end of 2021, electricity exports from Russia increased by 2.2 times compared to 2020 and reached 25 billion kWh. This is stated in the materials of the Central Dispatching Department of the Fuel Energy Complex. 

Last December, export supplies of electricity increased by 1.8 times in annual terms - up to 2.7 billion kWh.

According to the Central Dispatching Department (CDD) of the Fuel Energy Complex, electricity production amounted to 1.131 trillion kWh (an increase of 6.4%) in the country in 2021 . Energy consumption increased by 5.4%, to 1.106 trillion kWh in 2021, TASS reports.
