The Ministry of Health of Belarus has included coronavirus vaccination in the list of mandatory preventive vaccinations for children from 12 to 17 years old.

In Russia, the coronavirus vaccine for children 12-17 years old was included in the preventive vaccination calendar in December last year, but it is not mandatory. The vaccination of adolescents is carried out with the written consent of the parents.

The Belarusian Ministry of Health clarified that the goal of vaccinating adolescents is to ensure sanitary and epidemiological well-being and prevent the incidence of COVID-19 among the child population.
