Cash collectors attacked in Abkhazia

An armed vehicle of the Sberbenk of Abkhazia has been attacked in the
Ochamchirsky District at about 12:30 (Moscow time). 5 million rubles
were stolen, Apsnypress reports.


The finances were to be moved to the Tkvarchelsky office of Sberbank.


The assailants used a Kalashnikov machine gun and submachine gun. The
collection car driver, Daur Gumba, and the collector, Guram Jinjolia,
were wounded. They were taken to the Tkvarchelskaya Hospital.


One of the assailants’ vehicles was later found burned out. The police
are inspecting the area. Deputy Prosecutor General of Abkhazia Beslan
Kvintsiniya has arrived in the area. An interception plan is in force.
