Dagestan launches program for development of mountain areas

Dagestani leader Magomedsalam Magomedov is on a visit to the
Charodinsky district in Tsuribe. He held a session on socio-economic
development, especially coping with unemployment.

The republic spends about 1.2 or 1.3 billion rubles on investment
programs, which is 25-30% of all capital investment.

Magomedov reminded the session that the average age of the population
in the district is 45-50 years. youths are leaving the area due to
employment problems. The situation may change with improvement of the
situation in rural areas.

Another problems is roads connecting mountain villages. Schools lack
internet access. The internet problem is being solved in the
Tsuntinsky district.

Economy Minister Marat Alyasov, head of Kulinsky District Said
Suleymanov, Agriculture Minister Satmar Amirov, director of the
Dagestani office of Rosselkhozbank Gitimagomed Gajimagomedov, Minister
for Labor and Social Development Ismail Efendiyev, chairman of the
committee for development of small and medium-sized business Magomed
Shahbanov, head of the Dokuzparinsky District Kerimhan Abasov, head of
the Akhvakhsky District Ismail Magomedsharapov and MP Magomed
Sadulayev made reports.
