Armenian president notes French role in foreign policy

France plays a significant role in Armenian foreign policy, Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan said at a meeting with Frenc Minister for Cooperation Henri de Raincourt, News Armenia reports.

France has a large Armenian community, the president said.

The sides noted improvement of ties in various spheres, noting a regular political dialogue, strong and efficient cooperation, existance of many agreements, ties in culture and education, decentralized cooperation in economy. Armenia has many French companies. One of priority goals is increase of trade turnover and improvement of business contacts.

Sargsyan and Reincourt discussed a wide range of issues of Armenia and the EU.
