Uzbek authorities to support migrants amid situation in Russia
Read on the website Vestnik KavkazaAmid a difficult economic situation in Russia Uzbekistan decided to support labour migrants. Currently, two to three million Uzbeks are working in Russia.
According to the decree "On additional measures to support citizens of Uzbekistan temporarily working abroad and members of their families", from May 1, 2022, financial help will be provided to migrants and their families annually on the basis of a written submission by assistant khokims.
From March 1, 2022, organized labour migrants who go abroad to work will be provided with microloans in the amount of up to 10 mln soms for a period of one year.
