Georgian and Armenian FMs discuss cooperation, regional situation
Read on the website Vestnik KavkazaBilateral cooperation and the ongoing situation in the South Caucasus were discussed on Tuesday during a meeting between the foreign ministers of Georgia and Armenia in Tbilisi.
David Zalkaliani and Ararat Mirzoyan positively assessed the dynamics of high-level contacts between their countries, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia said.
The two leaders agreed the cooperation “contributes to further rapprochement between the two countries and the expansion of trade and economic ties.”
The meeting also focused on a recent initiative of the Prime Minister of Georgia to “ensure lasting peace and stability” in the South Caucasus, while Zalkaliani also briefed his Armenian counterpart on the “dire humanitarian and security environment”.
