Russia and Iran discuss Middle East situation

In Tehran, Russia and Iran are discussing the situation in the Arab countries and questions concerning a Middle East peace settlement, RBC reports.

Russia was represented by the head of the department for the Middle East and the North Africa under the Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Russia, Sergey Vershinin.

“Issues of development of the situation in the recent period in the Middle East were considered. It was agreed to continue the practice of exchanging views on the theme,” the Ministry for Foreign Affairs stated.
