Estonia has opted not to follow Latvia’s and Lithuania’s lead and will not expel Russia’s ambassador, Mart Volmer, Undersecretary for Europe in Estonian Foreign Ministry, said on Tuesday.

"We have made a decision that our ambassador will stay in Moscow and the Russian ambassador will stay here. Naturally, we have various possibilities, and probably, it is a matter of the future, but so far, we have decided this way," he said in an interview with the ERR broadcaster.

Russian Ambassador to Estonia Vladimir Lipayev was summoned to the Estonian foreign ministry on Monday but no requests were issued.
