Anapa receives title City of Military Glory

President Medvedev granted a charter on awarding the title of City of Military Glory to Anapa, Kolpino and Stary Oskol, RIA Novosti reports.

The orders on the awards were signed by the president of Russia in May 2011.

On Wednesday Medvedev spoke at the ceremony in Kremlin and said that Stary Oskol, Anapa and Kolpino should combine their glorious history and high standards of current life. He stressed that these awards should me motivations for the development of the cities.

On the 22nd of June Russia marks Day of Memory and Grief, remembering the first tragic day of the Great Patriotic War.
