Poll: Turkish residents against joining EU

According to Areda Survey's web survey, more than half of Turkey's residents believe the country should not join the European Union.

Thus, according to the study, 51% of respondents believe that Ankara should not join the EU in order not to lose sovereignty. 48.6% of respondents have a different opinion.

It also turned out that 66% of the respondents are confident that Turkey will never join the European Union, and 90% do not consider the alliance's policy towards Ankara to be fair. 2,000 people took part in the survey.
