Russians allowed to transfer rubles to their foreign accounts

There are no restrictions on the transfer of funds in rubles by Russian residents to accounts opened in foreign banks, the Central Bank informs.

Since March 1, residents of Russia have been banned from transferring foreign currency to their accounts outside the country.

"This ban does not apply when residents credit funds in rubles to their bank accounts, ruble deposits opened in foreign banks," the regulator specifies.
