MiG-29 crashes in Astrakhan region

A MiG-29 airplane crashed today in the Astrakhan region, RIA Novosti
reports, citing its source in the law-enforcement bodies of the
region.

The aircraft disappeared from radar screens about 43 kilometers from
the town of Axhtubinsk in the Astrakhan region. The plane crashed, the
fate of the two crew members is unknown, the spokesman said.
