Slovakia promises to pay for Russian gas in euros
Read on the website Vestnik KavkazaSlovakia, which meets 85-87% of its natural gas needs at the expense of Russia, will pay for supplies in euros, Prime Minister Eduard Heger said.
"We will pay for gas in euros in the second half of May. This is our plan", TASS quoted his words with reference to the news agency TASR.
The head of government added that if the Russian gas supply is stopped, then its reserves in Slovakia for household consumers will last until April next year.
Heger also noted that the immediate cessation of Russian gas imports would be a "serious problem" for European countries.
