Data center "Yandex" disconnected from electricity in Finland

In Mäntsälä, Finland, the Yandex data center was disconnected from the main power source and switched to a diesel generator.

"The data center continues to operate in Finland. All our services are operating normally. Now we are in the process of renewing the contract with the energy supplier, temporarily the data center is running on its own diesel generators", the company said.

The data center in Mäntsälä has been operating since 2014, the heat from the servers is used to heat residential houses of local residents, so Yandex partially reimburses electricity costs
